ABOUT BIODIESEL
Biodiesel is a renewable alternative to petroleum based diesel fuel. It is manufactured from virgin vege table oils such as soy and canola; tropical seeds such as palm and coconut oil; used cooking oils and animal fats.
High quality Biodiesel can be directly substituted for petroleum diesel. It is simple to use, non-toxic and essentially free of sulphur and aromatics.
Using a high quality Biodiesel will require no modifications to the engine or to existing storage and delivery infrastructure.
Biodiesel is proven to reduce harmful emissions associated with petroleum diesel.

SOYBIODIESEL®
Soybiodiesel is our B100, or 100%, soy based Biodiesel product. NBG is the only Australian producer of Biodiesel made solely from virgin soy oil.
Soybiodiesel will provide customers with a consistent, high quality fuel which meets the Australian Biodiesel Standard and complies with the BQ-9000 Quality Assurance Accreditation Program. When using B100 Soybiodiesel you will achieve maximum reductions of greenhouse gas and toxic emissions whilst achieving similar engine performance.
Soybiodiesel varies from the Biodiesel Standard described in the Fuel Quality (Biodiesel) Determination 2003 and is supplied under approval granted by the Commonwealth Minister for the Environment and Water Resources to The National Biofuels Group Pty Ltd under Section 13 of the Fuel Quality Standards Act 2000.
Soybiodiesel with a minimum cetane number of 47 (mineral diesel has a minimum cetane number of 46) represents a fuel with excellent combustion properties with no adjustment to the diesel engine being necessary.
Soybiodiesel can be used directly without any need for engine modifications.
Other types of Biodiesel made from palm oil, used cooking oil or animal tallow may have excessively high cetane numbers (>58) which fall outside of the optimum range of engine manufacturers.
SOYDIESEL®
Soydiesel is our blended Biodiesel product offering improved engine performance over petroleum diesel in both cold and warm climates.
Soydiesel will improve engine lubrication when blended with ULSD while reducing greenhouse and toxic emissions. Power, performance and fuel economy competitively meet levels achieved with petroleum diesel.

Soybiodiesel has a CFPP of -5°C, providing better performance, storage and blending qualities compared with most other types of Biodiesel
Consistency o f Feedstock
“Feedstock” is the raw material used to produce Biodiesel.
Soybiodiesel is made solely from virgin soy oil, which produces a consistent, reliable, high quality fuel.
Splash- Blending
A blend is generally shown as a BXX. A blend of 20%
Soybiodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel is termed B20.
Diesel Specification
Soybiodiesel may be blended up to B30 while remaining within the petroleum diesel specification.
High Lubrication
Blending even 1% Soybiodiesel with ULSD will assist in providing the essential lubrication needed by your engine to
ensure smooth performance and extended engine life.
Odour
Soybiodiesel will produce a neutral odour as it is made from clean, virgin, soy oil. It won’t smell like fish ‘n’ chips!
Food Security – Soy Protein Meal
80% of the Soybean used in the production of Soybiodiesel is processed into ‘Soy Protein Meal’. This provides the majority
of protein required in the human food chain.
