Petroleum Tank Technologies (a division of JCC SUNTECH Pty Ltd)

Petroleum Tank Technologies (PTT) has joined the Australasian Convenience and Petroleum Marketers Association (ACAPMA) and has a range of offerings that align with the needs of retail members and service stations. For more information please visit www.PetroleumTankTechnologies.com or call Brian Bowe Mobile 0414 833 202 or Head Office on (03) 9763 6652.

Based in Melbourne Victoria, and highly regarded for their professionalism, and strict compliance to Australian Safe Work Standards, PTT is providing Australian Service Station operators with an alternative to the costly, time-consuming and disruptive process of tank excavation and replacement.

Utilising innovative German and Japanese technology, PTT teams will restore your Underground Petroleum Storage Tanks (UPSTs) by lining the interior with their Fibreglass Re-inforced Plastic (FRP) which hardens under Ultra Violet light, effectively installing a second Tank wall inside the orignal one, to provide a totally secure and permanently sealed lining.

They are also pleased to introduce in response to Industry requests, the following services to complement their FRP Tank lining:

Tank and Piping Inspection by Fibre Optic Videoscope

 FRP Lining for UPST’S

The PTT’s FRP comes with a 20 year guarantee and at the same time, provides Service Stations with a storage capability for Ethanol products, fully compliant to Australian Professional Standards.

It also offers a far less costly alternative to UPST replacement, being approximately 1/3 to ½  of the total cost including business lost during replacement time.

During the FRP lining process, there is minimal site disruption and minimal (most likely nil) revenue lost, as opposed to the considerable loss when having to totally close down during a tank replacement.

Testimonials are available from site owners who have chosen PTT’s FRP Lining over Tank Replacement, and their reasons for doing so.

 Visual Tank and Piping Inspection

This low cost inspection is enabled by a ’state of the art’ Fibre Optic Video Scope, designed to pinpoint and assess the internal condition of your UPST’s and Piping Systems, without the need to enter the Tank or empty the contents.

It graphically shows whether there are cracks, whether possibly contaminating residue exists, and any other conditions which demand attention before damage is done to customers’ vehicles or the environment, possibly resulting in litigation.

Also importantly, it provides peace of mind if no action is required after the Inspection.

Following the Video Scope Inspection, you will be able to decide whether to do nothing, or engage in a cleaning of the Tank, and/or proceed to a lining with FRP or replacing the Tank.

You may even elect to first have the Tank cleaned and at the same time, have us perform a physical check of the internal surface of the Tank to establish for certain, whether or not a Lining or Replacement is necessary.

Where Lining is required, the cost will be discounted by most or all of the Inspection/Cleaning costs to that point.

Our Videoscope inspection will show clearly whether re-piping is necessary and what would be the best course of action, and type of pipe material to use as a replacement. The Re-piping service can be packaged with a FRP  lining, or be done as a separate stand-alone project.

At the completion of any service requiring entry into the UPST, we install an invaluable Manhole for future entry, and include provision for future installation of an Automatic Tank Gauge.

The cost for this “built in” service is included in all quotes/price lists for FRP Lining and our Tank Cleaning service.
