Police have arrested four children, aged between 11 and 15, after an Adamstown service station was robbed at knifepoint this morning.
About 2am a group of two boys and two girls allegedly entered the 7-Eleven service station on Glebe Road and threatened the attendant.
One of the girls was allegedly armed with a knife.
They fled along Glebe Road with a sum of cash and cigarettes.
Police from the Newcastle City local area command are investigating the incident, and will interview the children this morning.
