EMS is a trusted Trade Member of the Australasian Convenience and Petroleum Marketers Association (ACAPMA) and provides a range of services that actively work towards protecting and growing retail petroleum businesses.

Since 1998, EMS (Environmental Monitoring Solutions Pty Ltd) has been providing equipment and services to the Australian and New Zealand Petroleum markets through various iterations, evolving into EMS as it is now known today. 100% Australian owned and operated, EMS focuses on a team-based approach to all commercial offerings to leverage our extensive technology and service expertise in Retail Petrol and adjacent segments.

Over this time EMS has established and developed four key product-service excellence platforms focussed on Wetstock Management and Forecourt Communications within a Petroleum environment, providing clear solutions for Retail Petrol Stations, Commercial Depots, Unmanned Refuelling facilities and Mining Fuel Storage facilities.

EMS has been involved in the area of UPSS Leak Detection since 1988 with both SIR (Statistical Inventory Reconciliation) systems and Automatic Tang Guaging systems.

The EMS statistical tools model business reconciliation data for Australian barometirc conditions, which vary significantly across Australia factoring for vapour and terminal loss/gains to mention a few.

The Fairbanks model meets and exceeds the US EPA Evaluation protocol of a leak detection threashlod of +/- 9 litres per day certified by Ken Wilcox and Associates.

The EMS service is also independently accredited as a Wetstock Management Service, independently audited annually to the ISO9001-2000 quality system.

Loss Prevention

With EMS Loss Prevention Software businesses can turn losses into profits

All retail stores suffer from profit loss, or Shrink.  The primary causes of retail shrink are employee theft, shoplifiting, vendor dishonesty, accounting errors, inventory loss, over-ordering, over-production and damage.  These conditions are well recognised and lead to significant lost profit and poor cash flow throughout the retail industry.

EMS supports its own Loss Prevention analytics, data mining and reporting suite on a SaaS (Software as a Service) model to clients who seek a simple theft detection tool for their Loss Prevention department.

EMS also offers the Pofitect suite for clients under licence for their internal use.  The Profitect Suite is comprised of a set of integrated modules incorperating state-of-the-art technology.  The product suite is unique in its architecture, with the major differentiator being that it spans all operational areas of the retail enterprise - the store and the supply chain (rather than just focusing on POS)
